Who are you Sébastien ?

Sébastien, 48, was born in Amiens (North of France) and grew up in the South-East of France. He now lives near Bordeaux. Passionate about the trade from an early age, he recounts: “During the summer vacations, as a teenager, I used to help my father who ran a furniture store, and I learned the trade alongside him”.He began his career in painting in 1999, initially with Independent distributors and was introduced to Zolpan management. In 2015, he joined the group as Flying Point of Sale Manager for the South-West sector for 7 months. He was then promoted Technical Sales Representative, a position he held for over two years, and was involved in the opening of Bordeaux Sud, among other projects. “A great human adventure”, he says.
He went on to become Regional Manager for 5 years, with responsibility for safety in his region. Driven by a desire to pass on his experience in the field, he seized the opportunity to become Safety Coordinator for the Tollens and Zolpan networks.

What do you like about your job?

“It’s a very comprehensive job, because safety concerns all areas of our business – everything is linked!”Sébastien  adds that he appreciates the auditing aspect of his job, as safety audits are above all educational in nature, aimed at helping teams to progress towards the safety standards set by our shareholder.
His experience enables him to coordinate the realities of retail with the Group’s expectations.  “My job is to ensure that safety is not a constraint, but a natural part of life, like a seatbelt in a car! »
