Teddy

Store Manager

Who are you, Teddy?

My name is Teddy, I’m 38 and I’m from Troyes. In 2012, I moved to the Lyon region. I joined the group in May 2016 as a fixed-term contract salesman in a neighboring outlet. Since then, I’ve progressed to Assistant Manager and then Point of Sale Manager, a position I’ve held for over two years.

Can you tell us more about yourself?

I’m a former « compagnon du devoir », trained as a workshop joiner. My career path has been rich and varied: kitchen fitter at Schmidt, workshop joiner at Lapeyre before moving on to become a kitchen and bathroom designer salesman, manager of a Franprix store, after-sales service manager in a DIY store, and even a stint in the factory. These experiences have given me a taste for challenges and a constant desire to think outside the box.

What do you like about your job?

What I appreciate most is the freedom of action my job gives me. It allows me to develop projects and create something concrete. I also enjoy passing on my knowledge and helping my team to improve their skills. It’s essential for me to share and see my colleagues progress.

A typical day?

Although my days are varied, I have a few essential routines:

– Preparing the store: As soon as I arrive, I make sure everything is spotless (catalogs in order, perfect facing, paint cans in order, shelves full). A well-organized, welcoming store is essential for an optimal customer experience.
– Quotation management: I pay particular attention to responsiveness and quality. It’s not a question of rushing, but of working with precision and efficiency.
– Administrative tasks: I try to be organized and anticipate as much as possible to manage this part without stress.
